How do I apply or nominate someone?
WHY SHOULD YOU APPLY TO THE CARRIAGE BOARD?
Between May 15 and September 15, you can nominate yourself or someone you think is suitable for a role. Remember that the person must agree to be nominated!
The nomination must contain the following:
- Name
- Contact details
- A photograph of yourself
- Presentation about yourself
- Experiences
- Which role you are looking for
- It is a perfect opportunity to influence your own and others' study time.
- Opportunity to do something you are passionate about.
- Be part of the inspark committee, join the group that plans the corps' funnest event throughout the year.
- Get a more attractive CV, for the day you finish your studies and have to apply for a job. Then it looks good to have been involved and run projects during your studies.
WHO CAN APPLY TO THE COURT BOARD?
As a board member it is important to be a student of HKR and have an engagement as well as an energy to make a change. Are you applying to a paid service you should remember to take a break from your studies or that you have just graduated. The paid services are 2 100% and one 50%.
WHICH ROLES CAN YOU APPLY FOR?
President
The chairman of the student union is full-time remunerated. Location service
The corps president's main task is to review the business with the role of employer. Chairman needs to be aware of what employees are working on, have an overview and represent the organization. The time as chairman is largely spent on meetings with, among other things, the university's management, other student unions and regional politicians.
Examples of tasks:
- Employer and supervisor responsibility
- Final responsibility for the business
- Spokesperson for the organization
- Signatory for the organization
Vice president
The vice chairman is full-time remunerated. Location service
The vice-chairman is a deputy for the union chairman and needs to be prepared to take on that work if necessary. In addition to this, the vice president's primary tasks are work with the university's safety representative, the work environment for students, the organization's digital design and in matters relating to the housing guarantee.
Examples of tasks:
- Student Chief Protection Officer
- Responsible for the housing guarantee
- Responsible for the organization's digital design
- Signatory for the organization
Student proxy
The student representative is remunerated half-time. Location service
According to the agreement with the university, the student representative is the one who handles student legal matters that come to the union. This means knowledge of the governing documents that exist regarding students' rights and obligations at HKR. The main task is to meet and support students who come in with cases.
Examples of tasks:
- Handling of incoming student matters
- Contact with the university regarding student affairs
- Contact and support of student representatives
Study social organiser
The Study social organizer is remunerated half-time. Location service
The Study social organiser is a part of the working committee and works with the president, vice-president and the student proxy. The work will be focused around creating social events for members as well as being in charge of social media.
The study social organizer is also a big part of the plannng for the kick-off.
Examples of tasks:
- Handling of incoming student matters
- Contact with the university regarding student affairs
- Contact and support of student representatives
Member of the board
The members are not remunerated but non-profit.
The members of the union board jointly decide on the activities that the student union conducts. The members also participate in the projects run by the student union and are expected to run individual or joint projects to drive the union's activities forward.
Examples of tasks:
- Individual projects (such as corps pod, morning sofa and opinions)
- Joint projects (such as kickbacks and visibility work)
- Representation of the student union
- Manage and make decisions regarding the student union's major affairs
President of the Sexmästeri
Members are not remunerated but non-profit.
Member of the union board that has the Sexmästeriet project
The chairman of the Sex Mastery leads and coordinates the work around the Sex Mastery's activities and meetings. It also has the ultimate responsibility for the operation to function. It must also, to the extent possible, cooperate and communicate with other student associations and organizations at Kristianstad University.
Vice president of the Sexmästeri
Members are not remunerated but non-profit.
Member of the union board that has the Sexmästeriet project
The Sexmästeriet's vice chairman is responsible for strengthening the commitment of the Sexmästeriet's board members. It also has ultimate responsibility for the planning and evaluation of events.
Accountant
The business auditor is not paid but non-profit.
The business auditor mission is to look into the Student unions work during the year that has been. For the best possible outcome, the business auditor needs pre-insight into the organisations daily work as well as the yearly work.
Exempel on work ask:
- Be a part during board meetings
- be a part of the yearly big meetings
- Examine the organisation that has happened during the year.
When you want to work in the Student union you can apply to the nomination committee to different positions. You can apply to paid position, which means more responsibility and a position with work times at the union’s office during one year. You can also apply to a board member in the union and there you will run your own project connected to the union.
If you are completely new and want to still be apart and work for the students you can send an application to be a board member in the social committee Sexmästeriet. This post you do not apply thorough the nomination committee.
The nomination committee is chosen by the first big member meeting in the start of the year.

In the email you present yourself and a tiny motivation to why you should have the role. Remember you have to be present during the first annual member meeting to be nominated and chosen on one-year period.

Linn Söderberg
Coordinator of the nomination committee
Linn is in her second year on the election committee. Linn, on the other hand, is in her first year as coordinator of the selection committee. Linn has previously been involved during the kick-in as committed during 2022 & 2023. She is studying subject teacher at HKR
Amanda Sjönvall
Member for the nomination committe
Amanda is sitting her first year as member of the nomination committee. Amanda has previously been part of the Sexmästeri and has been involved in the kick-off the years 2022-2023. Amanda has previously studied to become a nurse which she now works as.
Mathilda Göransson
Member of the nomination committee
Mathilda is sitting her first year as a member of the nomination committee. Mathilda has previously worked for the Union as both a board member and study social organizer. Mathilda has previously studied to become a teacher.
